Thurston Elementary School

MidWest Financial Credit Union is pleased continue its partnership with Thurston Elementary School for the 2009-2010 school year. Through the partnership, MidWest Financial provides assistance to students and staff for various events, activities, and classroom requests such as providing additional help for after-school activities, etc.

In addition, MidWest Financial Credit Union provides hands-on financial education to Thurston’s students through the YES Club, a student-run Credit Union. The student-run branch is open every other Wednesday and is staffed by 5th grade volunteers under the supervision of a MidWest Financial employee. Participation in the YES Club provides Thurston’s students with financial skills such as learning the value of a dollar and how to save money to reach their goals.
